The Mission

This Web-Site is dedicated to the support and enlightenment of the audio hobbyist. Our mission is to aid in the production of the finest sounding tubed equipment at the lowest possible price. For the enthusiast who loves great detailed sound but refrains from paying an outrageous price to achieve this, this is your site.

All the information and ideas posted here will give the hobbyist the tools needed to produce A-class sounding equipment with the greatest aesthetics or just a shoe-box look if desired.

The equipment reviewed and built here will meet the "Sounding Good" standard and will be such that I think 'DIY'ers will be very pleased with it. Hardware not meeting this standard will not be posted.

Design Philosophy

I believe that great sounding, well designed equipment starts with selecting active and passive devices that lend themselves to accurate sound reproduction. I think tubes are the only active device that should be used in audio. Components should be selected based not only on specifications but also on its ability to accurately reproduce sound. Here at Tubebuilders.Com, we are not hooked on Speaker Cables, Capacitors, Tube Coolers or Silver-wire Trannies; but if they are tested and found to improve sound quality, you will hear about it.

One should enjoy listening to one's audio equipment. I look forward to flipping the power switch of a great sounding system. There is a lot satisfaction in building equipment and listening to equipment you have built. When the efforts of designing, procuring parts and building culminates in an A-Class "great sounding" product; there is a sense of accomplishment that every "tubeophile" should experience.
