This is a Lafayette 250A Integrated amplifier. Fully restored. All the coupling capacitors were replaced with "polypropylene" types. The power supply caps were replaced with new aerovox. Tube compliment: (4) EL86 (big brother to the EL84) with less distortion, (2) 7199 low noise pentode/triode, (4) 12AX7LP. All the tubes are new. Built-in phono stage. Potentiometers & knobs were replaced. Very decorative finish. This is one great sounding tube amp. Very musical mids and highs with a powerful tight sounding bass. In my opinion it was way ahead of it's time, just plug your CD player in and experience the sound of a classic!. !! SOLD !! |
